Down Yonder

brass quintet

Having grown up around bluegrass music, this piece was always a favorite.  It is written for brass quintet in a fun but rather difficult arrangement, suitable for college ensembles.

Hymn
for
Trombones

for
trombone choir

Hymn for Trombones ©
Written for 6-part trombone choir, this composition was first performed by the University of Georgia Trombone Choir.  Though not rhythmically challenging, the long tones and legato style make the piece suitable for high school or college ensembles.

When the Roll is Called Up Yonder

This arrangement is suitable for high school players and has an exciting ending.  It will also make a nice addition to a worship service.

Silent
 Night

trombone choir

Silent Night ©
Arranged for 6-part trombone choir, this piece is suitable for high school and college ensembles.

Nearer My God to Thee/Are You Washed in the Blood

for trombone trio

Nearer My God to Thee/Are You Washed in the Blood ©
With beautiful harmonies throughout and an ending that merges both melodies in a unique way, this piece is a wonderful addition to a worship service.  The first trombone part is written in alto clef.

Down by the Riverside

for
brass quartet

Down by the Riverside ©
This is a jazzy version of the spiritual, arranged for 2 trumpets and 2 trombones.  With a challenging trombone part suitable for an advanced player, it's sure to get toes tapping.

Up on the Housetop

for
brass quintet

Up on the Housetop ©
This standard quintet arrangement is not difficult rhythmically, but it has several key changes.  "Housetop" is a good option for advanced high school or college ensembles.
